KOOLUX E-Bike Error Codes: What They Mean & How to Fix Them

A practical guide to common KOOLUX display error codes, what they mean, and what to check before your next ride.

Start with the simple checks

A KOOLUX error code does not always mean a serious fault. Before deeper diagnosis, turn the display off, remove the key if your model uses one, wait a few seconds, then restart the bike. Also check that the battery is seated correctly, has enough charge, and that the contacts are clean and dry.

Look over the visible connectors around the handlebar, controller, motor, and brake levers. A slightly loose or pinched cable can trigger an error message, especially after transport, folding, or a wet ride.

What to note before support

If the code returns, write down the exact model, battery level, displayed code, when it appears, and the riding conditions. A photo of the display and a short video of the issue make the cause much easier to identify.

Also mention recent changes: charging with a different charger, a fall, a replaced cable, a brake adjustment, or a new accessory. These details avoid unnecessary trial and error and speed up service.

When to stop riding

Do not keep riding if the error relates to the brakes, motor, power cut-out, or overheating. These signals can affect safety even if the bike still seems to move normally.

If you notice a damaged cable, unusual smell, abnormal motor noise, or repeated power loss, stop using the bike and book a check. A small issue fixed early is usually cheaper than a forced breakdown.
